A powerful coalition of Black and Latino parents and education advocates from around the country announced in a new video that they are fundraising a trip to meet with Elizabeth Warren to share how her recently unveiled education plan gets it all wrong for children of color.

“Our children need more good choices, not less. Help us advocate for our kids so they can have access to a high-quality education.”

The fundraiser is organized by Dianeschia Fields and the Powerful Parent Network, an educational advocacy group that provides free support to parents navigating the education system and focuses on parent outreach, organizing, and empowerment around educational issues.

“We Need Your Help”

In the accompanying video, parents donning “Powerful Parent Network” shirts share that the group of 100’s of parents want to travel and tell Elizabeth Warren why she’s wrong to cut off educational choices from families, like high-quality charter schools.

“If you believe that we should have the power to decide what’s best for our children and that our children shouldn’t be stuck in failing schools, please support us in making our trip to make our voices heard.”
