“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

Dr. Martin Luther King was one of the greatest inspirations of all time, he wanted equality for black people and he also believed in justice for all he wanted to change our country for the better.

As we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King let us remember how hard he fought for freedom and the rights for blacks to vote. We can also sit and reflect the state our country is in know we can see that we are still struggling with police brutality, racism, and discrimination this country is better than it used to be but still a ways to go.

It is very important to educate ourselves and try to get past the division that is stopping us from growing we also have to understand how important it is to learn to love everyone regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs, etc.

Dr. Martin Luther King would want us to stand up for what we believe in and what is right even when the odds are against you believe in your dreams don’t give up when times get difficult just as Dr. King did he continued to fight for his beliefs even after several arrests and attacks on him.

He made it possible for women to be educated and have the right to vote. He marched for social justice and civil rights something to this day we are still having issues with. When we have rallies and marches for social movements this is frowned upon in our country but remember he marched for nonviolence and civil rights something we need to continue; his legacy continues to inspire and make a difference in the lives of many people in our country today.
