Richmond, VA – A Richmond Public Schools substitute teacher is accused of inappropriately touching children under age 12. Vance Chisolm, 44, of the 2900 block of Ralph Boulevard in Henrico County, was arrested without incident Wednesday and charged with four counts of sexual battery of a juvenile. Authorities would not say how many children Chisolm is accused of touching, but a condition of his release on bond forbids him from trying to contact two alleged victims. The police said they are investigating the possibility of additional victims.

Portsmouth, VA. – A man was arrested Thursday for two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin and one count of selling heroin on or near school property.48-year-old Michael McCormick was arrested as result of a long term investigation with DEA agents in Norfolk. Sources told News 3 McCormick is an algebra teacher at Norcom High School.

New York, NY – A New York elementary school teacher was arrested Wednesday on charges that she sexually abused a student she taught, The Post-Star reported. Elizabeth Barthelmas, 38, was a fifth grade teacher at the time of the alleged assault, and met the student through one of her classes.  By the time of the alleged sexual relationship, which occurred in 2007 and 2008, the student was no longer in her class, though still younger than 13. Barthelmas allegedly conducted the abuse at her house.

Greeneville, TN – A Hawkins County man is in custody with no bond set after he was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury and later arrested on two counts of production of child pornography and one count of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. Court records indicate that Mark Curtis Adams, 55, who is reportedly a deacon and a youth Sunday School teacher at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, was indicted in late May in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Greeneville and was arrested on June 2 by an FBI agent in Johnson City.

Griffin, GeorgiaBrandy Lynn Nickels, age 41 of Williamson Georgia, and a former teacher at Griffin High School, who resigned her teaching position following her arrest on May 18th has been arrested again. In the original case Nickels was charge with two counts of statutory rape, two counts of sexual assault by a teacher,  two counts of sexual battery, tow counts of child molestation, four counts of sodomy, two counts of enticing a child. Nickels latest arrest was on Tuesday June 13th.  Again by the Griffin Police Department at a traffic stop. Nickels was found to have three juveniles in her vehicle all males and one of whom is a witness in the original case.
