AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Cook Elementary School special education teacher is charged with injury to a child after a parent says the teacher bit her daughter at school. According to court documents, Courtney Nikole Williams, 35, was arrested and charged with the crime for an incident on March 6. The arrest affidavit states that Williams had to remove the victim, a 9-year-old student, from the child’s classroom because the child was being disruptive. At one point, Williams admitted she bit the victim on the arm when she said the victim “flailed her arms.”

KILLEEN, Texas (AP) – Authorities in Central Texas said an elementary school teacher has been arrested on a charge of sexually assaulting one of his students. Killeen police said in a statement that Thomas Lloyd Cannon was arrested Friday on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Officials say police learned of the matter Wednesday after the victim disclosed the allegations against the teacher.

FLORIDA (WFLA) — A Coral Springs drama teacher was arrested early Thursday morning after deputies say she raped her former student in the back of a parked vehicle. Pamela Stigger, 33, was found by Broward deputies at an intersection in Tarmac “moments after she had engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old boy in the back of a car,” according to an arrest report.

MAUMELLE, Ark. (KARK) – A teacher at Maumelle High School was arrested Friday on suspicion of public intoxication. The Maumelle Police Department (MPD) says Ann Higgins was in class acting strange, when several other teachers noticed that she smelled of alcohol. The teachers notified administrators and the school resource officer. Police said Higgins was removed from the class she was teaching and given a “portable breath test,” in which she registered .14, nearly twice the legal limit.

ELIZABETHTOWN — A West Bladen High School teacher has been charged with having sex with a student, Bladen County Sheriff James A. McVicker said Friday. Shanna May Harrelson, 38, of the 3000 block of U.S. 701 South in Clarkton, was charged with one count of disseminating obscene material to a minor, one count of crimes against nature and one count of a sex act with a student, McVicker said.

CARTHAGE, TexasJosh Michael Ross, 36, of Carthage turned himself in to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday morning on suspicion of having a relationship with a 19-year-old student, according to a statement from Carthage ISD. Ross has been suspended from the district. He is being held in the Panola County Detention Center on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student with bond set at $10,000, according to the sheriff’s office.
